Case study: Benugo

Background

At DRF, we’ve been working with catering company Benugo for a number of years and have completed a range of projects for them.

Founded in 1998, Benugo now operates around 80 individual cafes, restaurants and other dining spaces both on the high street and within public buildings and private companies. Their outlets are located mainly in London, where the head office is based, but some are now as far afield as Aberdeen.

Projects

DRF has carried out numerous projects for Benugo, installing café serveries and seating areas at famous London buildings such as The Natural History Museum and The Victoria and Albert Museum. Recent projects have been undertaken at The British Museum in London and Microsoft’s UK headquarters in Reading.

We have also carried out full fit-outs at Hult International Business School and The Barbican, both in London, as well as at New Street Station, Birmingham. For these projects, we transformed an empty shell into a fully-completed servery including dining and seating areas.

Electrical works carried out by DRF at these sites involved the design and installation of power, lighting and security systems, including fire alarms and emergency lighting.

Our Expertise

We have a wealth of experience in designing, managing and installing electrical works for food service venues as well as retail outlets. This experience was invaluable in helping us design an electrical system that was perfectly suited to both Benugo’s needs and those of their client. We know that areas for food preparation, serving and dining require specific types of lighting and electrical systems to operate effectively.
